Implants can fail to integrate with the bone, more so in smokers and people with uncontrolled diabetes. A failed implant means more surgery and more time.
A thin jawbone may need a graft or a sinus lift, which adds cost, healing time, and complexity. A proper plan is based on a 3D scan, not a photo.
A bridge that does not meet correctly causes pain, uneven wear, and damage, and it needs skilled adjustment to put right.
