Quick answer

Is it worth going to Spain?

All on 6 in Spain commonly costs from about €6,000 per arch, often less than UK private pricing, though quotes vary widely by city and clinic. Spain has a well regulated dental sector with EU trained dentists and modern, licensed clinics. All on 6 replaces a full arch of teeth on six implants for extra support, and the real planning point is that it usually needs two trips, with months of healing in between before the final bridge.

Costs below are indicative ranges, reviewed July 2025, and vary by the implant and bridge materials, the city, whether bone grafting is needed, and what a package includes. They are not a quote and not a promise of a result.

What it really costs here

The price in Spain, honestly.

In Spain All on 6, a full arch of fixed teeth on six implants, typically runs from about €6,000 to €12,000 per arch, a wide band that reflects real variation between cities and clinics. Both arches are often quoted between €11,000 and €20,000. Price is driven by the implant and bridge materials, the city, and whether bone grafting is needed.

Indicative ranges, reviewed July 2025, and the spread here is genuinely uncertain because Spanish quotes differ a lot by region. Not a quote. A very low headline price is often per arch and for a temporary bridge only. Confirm the full price in writing.

The realistic experience

The trip, recovery and the follow up problem.

All on 6 is not a single visit treatment. Most people make two trips to Spain, with three to six months of healing at home in between while the implants fuse with the bone. You leave the first trip with a temporary fixed bridge and return later for the permanent one, so plan the time, the flights, and the cost of both visits. Spain is a short flight from much of Europe, which makes the two trip plan easier than long haul destinations.

01

First trip, days 1 to 7

Consultation and a 3D scan, the six implants are placed, and a temporary fixed bridge is fitted so you leave with teeth.

02

Healing, 3 to 6 months

At home the implants fuse with the bone, a process called osseointegration. The temporary bridge is worn during this time.

03

Second trip, days 3 to 7

The permanent bridge is fitted and the bite checked and adjusted for comfort and function.

04

Long term

Regular reviews and good daily hygiene protect the result for years. Some maintenance over time is normal.

The follow up problem

If a temporary bridge cracks, an implant fails to fuse, or the bite needs adjusting once you are home, that is hard to manage from another country. Local dentists are often reluctant to take on another clinic's implant work, so agree before you travel how reviews, adjustments, and any warranty will be handled.

Insurance and complication cover

Standard travel insurance rarely covers elective dental work or its complications, and a European health card does not cover private elective care. Read the policy closely, and ask the clinic what its guarantee covers and for how long.

The risks of travelling here

What can go wrong.

All on 6 is a well established treatment, but it is surgery, and travelling for it adds a follow up gap across two trips. Understand these before you commit.

Implant failure and poor fusion

Implants can fail to integrate with the bone, more so in smokers and people with uncontrolled diabetes. A failed implant means more surgery and more time.

Bone loss and the need for grafting

A thin jawbone may need a graft or a sinus lift to seat six implants, which adds cost, healing time, and complexity. A proper plan is based on a 3D scan, not a photo.

Bite and fit problems

A bridge that does not meet correctly causes pain, uneven wear, and damage, and it needs skilled adjustment to put right.

Infection and, rarely, nerve injury

Infection around an implant, and rarely nerve damage causing numbness in the lip or chin, are recognised risks.

The follow up gap

If something fails after you fly home, revision and warranty claims are far harder to arrange from another country, especially between the two trips.

How to choose safely in Spain

Five questions before you pay.

We do not name clinics. Use these to judge any clinic in Spain you are sent to, and treat vague answers, pressure to book, and prices far below the market as the warning signs that matter most.

1
Who is the implant dentist and what are their qualifications?
Ask for registration with the regional Colegio de Dentistas and for specific implantology training and experience, not just general dentistry.
2
Is the clinic licensed and accredited?
Spain licenses private dental clinics through regional health authorities and works to EU standards. Ask about the dental laboratory that makes your bridge.
3
Why six implants, and what materials are used?
Ask why six rather than four is recommended for your case, and ask for the implant brand and bridge material, such as zirconia, in writing. Cheaper unbranded implants can be harder to service later.
4
Will I need bone grafting, and is it in the price?
Ask for a treatment plan based on a 3D scan, not a photo, and confirm whether grafting or a sinus lift is included or charged on top.
5
What guarantee applies and how does follow up work at home?
Get the warranty and revision terms in writing, including who pays for adjustments and how the two trip plan is scheduled.

Common questions

The things everyone asks.

Is All on 6 in Spain safe?

At a licensed clinic where an experienced implant dentist plans the case from a 3D scan, it can be safe and the results good. Spain is an EU regulated dental destination. Risk rises with poor planning, unbranded implants, and rushing the healing. This page is here to help you tell a careful clinic from a risky one.

Why do Spanish quotes vary so much?

Prices differ by region, by implant and bridge materials, and by what the package includes. The same arch can be quoted very differently in two cities, so compare like for like and read what each price actually covers.

How many trips to Spain will I need?

Usually two. The implants are placed and a temporary bridge fitted on the first trip, then after three to six months of healing you return for the permanent bridge. Some clinics offer faster protocols, but healing time cannot be skipped.

What does the headline price usually leave out?

Often the permanent zirconia bridge, any bone grafting or sinus lift, and sometimes scans. Always ask for the full cost of both arches and both trips in writing before you commit.

What if a problem appears once I am home?

Adjustments, a failed implant, or a warranty claim are harder to manage from another country. Agree the guarantee and how follow up works before you travel, and keep all records and the implant passport.
