Arm lift in Lithuania, weighed honestly.

What an arm lift really costs in Lithuania, the risks that matter when you travel for surgery, what recovery and follow up actually involve, and the one thing this surgery cannot hide. We never name a clinic.

An arm lift trades loose skin for a permanent scar along the inner arm. Lithuania's short flights make follow up easier than far flung options, but the scar is still the trade.
Quick answer

Is it worth going to Lithuania?

An arm lift, or brachioplasty, in Lithuania commonly costs from about £2,000, often a half or less of UK pricing for comparable work. Lithuania is an established cosmetic surgery destination inside the European Union, with clinics in Kaunas and Vilnius working to EU standards, English widely spoken, and short flights from much of Europe. The shorter trip makes an early review and any follow up easier to arrange than with far flung destinations, though the scar is the same trade wherever you have it.

Costs below are indicative ranges, reviewed December 2025, and vary by how much skin is removed, whether liposuction is added, the surgeon and what a package includes. They are not a quote and not a promise of a result.

What it really costs here

The price in Lithuania, honestly.

In Lithuania an arm lift typically runs from about £2,000 to £3,500, roughly €2,400 to €4,300, with all inclusive surgery packages often quoted around €3,000 and including anaesthesia, the hospital stay and consultations. A mini arm lift costs less and an extended lift or one combined with liposuction costs more. Price is driven by the extent of surgery, the surgeon and the package.

Indicative ranges, reviewed December 2025. Not a quote. Check whether anaesthetic, the overnight stay, garments and aftercare are in the headline price or billed separately.

The realistic experience

The trip, recovery and the follow up problem.

An arm lift is not a fly in, fly out procedure. Plan to stay in Lithuania for a meaningful recovery before flying, because surgery and flights both raise the risk of deep vein thrombosis, and your arms will be sore and swollen at first. Lithuania's short flights from much of Europe make an early wound check and a return for stitch removal more practical than with distant destinations.

01

Days 1 to 3

Surgery is usually under general anaesthetic with a night in the clinic. Expect soreness, swelling, bruising, and your arms in a compression sleeve. Heavy lifting is off the table.

02

Week 1 to 2

Swelling eases and stitches are checked. Light movement is encouraged to lower clot risk, but reaching, lifting and driving stay restricted.

03

Day 8 to 14

Many surgeons advise waiting one to two weeks before flying. The short hop home means a return for stitch removal or a review is feasible if needed.

04

Months to a year

The scar is raised and pink at first and softens and fades over many months. Final scar quality cannot be judged for up to a year or more.

The follow up problem

Even with short flights, a wound that opens, a thickened scar, or a fluid collection is easier to manage where you had the surgery. Local surgeons at home are often reluctant to take on another clinic's work, so agree before you travel exactly how stitch removal, reviews, scar care, and any revision will be handled.

Insurance and complication cover

Standard travel insurance rarely covers elective cosmetic surgery or its complications. Read the policy closely and consider dedicated medical complications cover before you book.

The risks of travelling here

What can go wrong.

An arm lift is a common procedure, but it is real surgery that always leaves a scar, and travelling for it adds risks worth understanding before you commit.

A visible, permanent scar

The scar runs along the inner arm, sometimes from elbow to armpit. It fades but never disappears, and some people scar thickly. This is the trade you are accepting, not a complication.

Clots from flying after surgery

Surgery and flights both raise the risk of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. Even on a short flight, allow real recovery time and get written clearance to fly.

Wound healing and fluid problems

Wound separation, fluid collections, and slow healing along the incision are among the more common issues, and they may surface after you fly home.

Nerve changes and asymmetry

Numbness or altered sensation along the arm is common early on and usually settles, but can persist. Asymmetry and a scar that sits more visibly than hoped are possible.

No guaranteed result

As an EU country Lithuania regulates its clinics and surgeons, but standards still vary between providers. No honest surgeon promises a perfect outcome, and a revision is sometimes needed.

How to choose safely in Lithuania

Five questions before you pay.

We do not name clinics. Use these to judge any clinic in Lithuania you are sent to, and treat vague answers, pressure to book, and prices far below the market as the warning signs that matter most.

1
Is the surgeon a registered plastic surgeon?
Ask for registration as a specialist plastic surgeon in Lithuania and clear experience in body contouring, not a general doctor doing cosmetic work.
2
Is the clinic a licensed surgical facility?
An arm lift belongs in a licensed theatre with anaesthetic support and an overnight option, not a day room. Ask which licensed facility the surgery takes place in.
3
Where will the scar sit, and how long?
A careful surgeon shows you the planned incision and is honest about scar length and visibility for your degree of loose skin. Be wary of anyone who downplays the scar.
4
What is included, and what is extra?
Confirm whether anaesthetic, the overnight stay, garments and aftercare are in the package or billed separately, so the headline price is the real price.
5
What happens if I need a review or revision?
Get the aftercare plan, scar care guidance, and any revision terms in writing, including who pays and how a return visit works.

Common questions

The things everyone asks.

Is an arm lift in Lithuania safe?

At a licensed clinic where a registered plastic surgeon operates with proper anaesthetic support, it can be safe and the results good. Lithuania is in the European Union and regulates its clinics. Risk rises with combining too many procedures at once, cut price providers, and flying home too soon. This page is here to help you tell a careful clinic from a risky one.

Will the scar be very visible?

An arm lift always leaves a scar along the inner arm. A skilled surgeon places it as discreetly as possible, but it fades rather than disappears, and how it heals depends partly on your own skin. A mini lift means a shorter scar but treats less skin.

How long should I stay in Lithuania after surgery?

Plan for a stay of roughly one to two weeks. Many surgeons advise waiting that long before flying because of clot risk and to allow an early wound check. The short flights from Europe also make a return for stitch removal more feasible. Always confirm your own clearance to fly with the operating surgeon.

Is an arm lift the same as liposuction?

No. Liposuction removes fat but does not tighten loose skin. An arm lift removes excess skin, which is why it leaves a scar. People with significant loose skin, often after weight loss, usually need the lift rather than liposuction alone.

When will I see the final result?

Swelling settles over weeks, but the scar keeps changing for up to a year or more, softening and fading gradually. The contour is visible early, the scar quality only later.
