The trip, recovery and the follow up problem.
Liposuction is not a fly in, fly out procedure, and the long flight home from Thailand makes recovery time even more important. You should plan to stay for a meaningful recovery before flying, because long flights soon after surgery raise the risk of deep vein thrombosis. Expect a compression garment for weeks and a final shape that takes months to settle as swelling resolves.
Days 1 to 3
Surgery is usually under general or heavy sedation. Expect soreness, bruising, drainage from incision points, and a fitted compression garment worn almost constantly.
Week 1 to 2
