Quick answer

What does it really cost?

Eyebrow transplant abroad is commonly offered from about one thousand to three thousand pounds, against roughly two and a half to seven thousand pounds in the UK. Most cases use 200 to 600 grafts across both brows. Price is driven by graft count, technique, and who actually does the work, not by the country alone.

These are indicative ranges, reviewed December 2025, not a quote and not a promise of a result. Final pricing depends on your brows, the graft count, and what a package includes.

What it really costs

The price, honestly.

An eyebrow transplant uses far fewer grafts than a scalp procedure, so the headline price is lower than a full head of hair. Abroad it often runs roughly a half to a third of UK pricing for comparable work, mainly because of lower labour and facility costs, not lower quality by default.

A price far below the rest of the market is a warning sign, often that a licensed doctor is not doing the work.

What drives the price

Why one quote differs from the next.

Graft count. Most cases use 200 to 600 grafts across both brows. Mild thinning or sparse tails sit at the lower end, while rebuilding brows lost to scarring or alopecia uses more.

Technique. Micro FUE and DHI style placement are common. The method affects time, precision, and price, but the skill of the person placing the grafts matters more than the label.

Who actually does the work. Eyebrows are tiny and unforgiving, so the angle and direction of every graft must be set by an experienced hand. Surgeon led work costs more and is worth it here.

What the package includes. Abroad, prices often bundle hotel nights, transfers, and an aftercare kit. Compare like for like, since a bare surgical fee and an all in package are not the same number.

Why it is cheaper abroad

Lower cost, not automatically lower quality.

Lower costs abroad come mostly from lower labour and facility costs and a highly competitive market, not from cutting corners by default. Many people have a safe, well planned eyebrow transplant overseas and pay far less than they would at home.

The danger is at the very cheap end, where the saving comes from volume and from unlicensed staff doing the work rather than a doctor. With brows, where a small error in angle or shape is highly visible, this trade off is rarely worth it.

Confirm before you pay: exactly what the price covers, what counts as an extra, the currency, whether a named doctor sets the design and angle, and what happens, and who pays, if you need a revision once you are home.

Common questions

The things everyone asks.

Why is an eyebrow transplant cheaper abroad?

Mostly lower labour and facility costs and a competitive market, not lower quality by default. A price far below the rest of the market, though, is often a sign that a doctor is not doing the work.

What should the price include?

Ask what is in the quote and what is extra. Abroad, packages often bundle hotel, transfers, and an aftercare kit. Always confirm the currency you are billed in.

Is a cheap eyebrow transplant dangerous?

The very cheap end often relies on high volume and unlicensed staff. With brows, where small errors in angle or shape are highly visible, that trade off is rarely worth it.

Does insurance cover the cost?

An eyebrow transplant for cosmetic reasons is elective, so it is generally not covered. Standard travel insurance rarely covers elective procedures or their complications either.

How many grafts will I need?

Most people need 200 to 600 grafts across both brows. Mild thinning sits at the lower end, while rebuilding brows lost to scarring or alopecia uses more. Only an in person assessment can tell you.
